We?re supporting the build of a highly technical, globally-minded startup operating at the intersection of large-scale compute and AI infrastructure.

They?re looking for a founding-level CTO to help design, scale, and lead the technical direction of a platform reliant on GPU-accelerated workloads and highly-performant distributed systems. The company has secured early backing, has real commercial traction, and is entering a build phase that requires hands-on leadership.

This is a greenfield opportunity for someone who wants to architect and own the next evolution of compute infrastructure?far from corporate, built from the ground up.

What You?ll Be Doing

• Leading the design and deployment of GPU-intensive compute infrastructure from scratch
• Building scalable systems that support complex real-time or AI-driven workloads
• Making foundational choices around architecture, hardware, and infrastructure
• Acting as the senior technical leader and key decision-maker from day one
• Hiring and mentoring a global engineering team as the company scales
• Working closely with founding leadership on product and delivery milestones
• Travelling as required to key infrastructure sites (global)

What You?ll Need

• 6+ years of engineering experience, ideally with exposure to high-throughput systems
• Practical experience with GPU clusters, accelerator hardware, or HPC environments
• A track record of building infrastructure for AI, simulation, or compute-heavy applications
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and scaling teams in fast-moving environments
• Strong commercial instincts, even in a highly technical role
• Able to balance build-fast scrappiness with long-term reliability and performance
