Web Developer

We are seeking a skilled Back-End Web Developer based in Minnesota to support our growing team on a project-to-project basis (currently averaging 12 projects per year, with expected growth). This role is ideal for someone who can work well in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building clean, reliable, and scalable websites.

You will work closely with our strategist, front-end developer, and designer to troubleshoot technical challenges, manage server and domain needs, customize back-end functionality, and provide technical feedback on designs. Virtual work is the default, but occasional in-person meetings with team members or clients may be needed depending on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

? Troubleshoot and support complex development needs beyond front-end scope

? Create, modify, and manage back-end custom fields and functionality

? Oversee server, hosting, and domain management

? Review and collaborate on website design and development for technical feasibility

? Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

? Communicate effectively with the team and occasionally with clients

Qualifications:

? Located in Minnesota (required)

? 3+ years of experience in technical web development

? Strong understanding of front-end and back-end integration

? Experience with server management, hosting platforms, and domain systems

? Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving

? Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and custom field development

? Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser functionality

? Excellent communication and collaboration skills

? Ability to meet virtually and attend occasional in-person meetings as needed
