As our digital presence expands, we are seeking a skilled, proactive WordPress Administrator & Developer to join our team and oversee the management, optimization, development, and security of our website and online portals. This role will include conducting regular website security audits, ensuring best practices in content management system (CMS) workflows, and supporting a seamless user experience.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced WordPress specialist who can confidently maintain, optimize, and continuously improve our website ecosystem. The ideal candidate has strong experience with page builders like Elementor, as well as familiarity with platforms such as MemberPress, BuddyBoss, WooCommerce, and LearnDash LMS. This role requires both technical expertise and the ability to think proactively, identify improvement opportunities, and execute updates and enhancements with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Website Management & Maintenance
- Upload new content, resources, and course materials
- Manage and update WordPress core, plugins, and themes
- Conduct regular website security audits and implement site protection best practices
- Optimize site speed, caching, and overall performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end and back-end issues
- Maintain mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility
- Manage CMS content workflows, roles, and permissions
SEO, Analytics & Optimization
- Implement and maintain SEO best practices (technical and on-page)
- Monitor site performance and search engine visibility
- Set up and interpret analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console) to guide decisions
Membership & LMS Management
- Create and maintain membership portals using MemberPress and BuddyBoss
- Support LearnDash LMS setup, updates, and user management
- Organize and onboard new client accounts and learning paths
Design & User Experience
- Implement small design adjustments and layout improvements in Elementor
- Ensure clean, intuitive user experience across all devices
- Ensure adherence to web accessibility standards (WCAG)
Site Organization & Backend Efficiency
- Keep the WordPress backend organized, efficient, and user-friendly
- Manage file structures, media libraries, and administrative settings
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional WordPress website management and development experience
- Proven experience working with Elementor and/or similar visual page builders
- Proficiency with common WordPress tools (WooCommerce, LearnDash, MemberPress, BuddyBoss)
- Familiarity with CMS best practices including content workflows, staging environments, and version control
- Experience with website security best practices including malware prevention, firewalls, and secure login protocols
- Knowledge of SEO, web accessibility (WCAG), and performance optimization
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and PHP for troubleshooting and customization
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with non-technical team members
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics and Search Console
- Experience with basic graphic editing (preferred but not required)
- Experience using Git or similar version control tools (a plus, but not required)
Hours & Compensation
- Hours: 20?25 hours per week (Part-Time), with potential for transition to Full-Time
- Compensation: W2 employee status; competitive hourly rate based on experience
