WORDPRESS TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

REMOTE | FULL-TIME | M-F | 8A-5P

Jordan Technology is a very small but rapidly expanding Managed Service Provider offering IT, Cybersecurity, and Website Design & Development services to businesses across the United States since 2013. We are 100% in-house and a fully remote team.

ABOUT THE JOB

We?re looking for an experienced WordPress Technical Support Specialist to join our growing crew. This is a non-coding and customer-facing role. You?ll be a core part of our website operations, being the first point of contact for reliable WordPress, WooCommerce, SEO, and website hosting support via telephone, emails and helpdesk tickets. You will troubleshoot WordPress problems, install/configure plugins, support WooCommerce, add new pages/products/posts, manage updates, perform backups, and more all providing top-level on-going customer support.

This is a fully remote work-from-home position. You must reside within the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for WordPress & WooCommerce support.
  • Address end-user requests via telephone, tickets, emails, alerts, and remote support.
  • Deploy new websites, plugins, pages, and updates.
  • Manage and monitor system backups and security alerts.
  • Install, configure, backup, restore, migrate, and maintain WordPress environment.
  • Troubleshoot bugs, errors, logs, reports, and performance.
  • Guide clients through problem-resolution processes in a clear and professional manner.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior support staff when appropriate.
  • Write details bug reports and replication steps for developers and engineers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of hands-on WordPress support experience.
  • 1+ years of call center, contact center or helpdesk experience.
  • Must have excellent communication, both verbal and written, with native English language.
  • Ability to troubleshoot WordPress & WooCommerce inside and out without assistance.
  • Ability to install, configure, test, and troubleshoot plugins.
  • Ability to troubleshoot WordPress & WooCommerce inside and out.
  • Ability to install WordPress from scratch.
  • Ability to walk through and document an entire WordPress environment.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote environment.
  • Ability to manage WordPress Multisite Networks
  • Experience working with CSS.
  • Experience working with HTML.
  • Experience with Web Hosting, SSLs ,DNS.
  • Familiarity with SEO best-practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFIATIONs

  • MSP, MSSP or Cybersecurity experience.
  • Ability to write and understand PHP.
  • Ability to write and read jQuery, JavaScript, and any JS framework.
  • Experience with WordPress custom functionality, plugin customization, and core editing.
  • Experience with WordPress plugin development.
  • Experience with WordPress theme development.
  • Experience with IT solutions such as managed IT or Cybersecurity.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

COMPENSATION

  • Annual salary range of $32,500 - $42,500 (DOE)
