Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Front End Website Developer to join our closely knit and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in WordPress and Elementor, along with a strong understanding of building user-friendly, secure, and fast websites. The candidate should also possess strong familiarity with website accessibility standards and privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage support tickets and address client inquiries promptly and effectively.
2. Perform content updates on client websites as needed.
3. Layout and build new interior pages for client websites using limited plugins and a focus on performance, security, and user experience best practices.
4. Migrate content between websites efficiently and accurately.
5. Proactively review client websites to identify areas for improvement in layout, mobile responsiveness, security, performance, and accessibility.
6. Work independently and demonstrate self-motivation in completing tasks and identifying opportunities for website enhancements.
7. Troubleshoot plugins, third-party integrations, and website functionalities.
8. Assist with website maintenance tasks such as plugin and theme updates, prioritizing security patches and updates.
9. Generate analytics reports for clients, set up custom reports, and measurements.
10. Install tags and have a basic understanding of Google Tag Manager.
11. Assist in pre- and post-launch tasks including website testing, creating redirects, and monitoring and fixing bugs.
12. Implement Search Engine Optimization strategies.
13. Knowledge of WCAG, Section 508, and Title II Standards
14. Perform basic performance optimization, including resizing of imagery.

Requirements:

1. Proficiency in WordPress and Elementor.
2. Experience building easy-to-manage websites and custom post types.
3. Certificate/proven experience with accessibility standards and privacy regulations, ensuring ADA compliance.
4. Ability to work independently and proactively identify opportunities for website improvements.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
6. Basic understanding of backend development concepts (e.g., Elementor loop grids, content filters, custom post types, and WordPress admin customization) is a plus.
7. Knowledge of JSON, PHP, and XML is desirable but not required.
8. Previous experience in the aviation industry is a bonus.

Position Type: Sub-contractor (variable hours per week, flexible scheduling)

Subcontractor Hourly Rate (subject to experience) estimated: $50 ? 60 an hour (subcontractor responsible for their own software, hardware and general liability insurance)
