Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Junior Web Developer to manage our service inbox and assist with various website development tasks and troubleshooting requests. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in web development with strong experience in WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, and PHP. You will work closely with our clients and internal team to provide timely solutions to support requests and minor development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Support & Troubleshooting:
- Monitor and respond to client support requests via our service inbox.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues efficiently.
- Provide clear, friendly, and professional communication with clients.
- Website Development & Maintenance:
- Assist with minor website updates, enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Implement design and content changes using Elementor and Shopify.
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins using PHP.
- Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with the internal team on small development projects.
- Utilize Asana to manage tasks and track progress.
- Commit and review code using GitHub version control.
- Basic DevOps Tasks:
- Assist with website deployments, backups, and basic troubleshooting.
- Work with hosting providers to manage client sites and resolve issues.
Requirements
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in WordPress (Elementor, and Shopify for bonus)
- Strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps principles, including website deployment and hosting environments.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Customer-focused approach with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a digital agency environment.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce and other WordPress plugins.
- Basic understanding of SEO and website performance optimization.
