Marketing Director

We?re a fast-growing, mission-driven company in the pet space, building a high-performing team and delivering value to our customers through innovation, care, and smart execution. As we scale, we?re looking for a Director of Marketing who knows how to get sh*t done?fast.
This role is for someone who thrives in a remote environment with lots of cross-functional collaboration, is comfortable spending time in meetings, and is still able to drive fast execution between calls. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own Execution Across Channels: Manage the day-to-day delivery of campaigns across email, SMS, paid, social, SEO, and CRO.
Run Marketing Like a Project Manager: Keep internal and external teams on track, in sync, and moving?using meetings for alignment, and your leadership to drive results and grow the team.
Oversee Team & Vendors: Lead a small but mighty internal team (designers, QA/email ops, marketing manager) and manage agency partners (paid, SEO, CRO/copy, affiliate, branding).
Drive Priorities & Accountability: Focus the team on what moves the needle. Set clear expectations. Hold people accountable for timelines and outcomes.
Give Direct Feedback: Review creative, copy, and deliverables with an experienced eye?ensuring brand alignment and high quality.
Execute Key Growth Projects: Take ownership of and/or work with crossfunctional teams to execute the following initiatives in the next 6?12 months:
- Launch a membership program
- Reduce churn on subscription products
- Increase new-customer revenue by 20% via CRO
- Boost organic traffic by 50% via SEO/content
- Launch an affiliate program (Q2)
- Relaunch referral program (drive 3?5% of total revenue)
WHAT YOU BRING
- A strong background in growth or performance marketing in fast-paced environments
- Experience driving internal creatives and multiple agency partners
- Experience using AI for building marketing assets, improving team efficiencies, and generating ideas for further growth
- Proven success as a strong leader, able to build, scale, and support a team of smart & efficient marketers and creatives
- Tactical expertise in:
- Required: Email, SMS, paid media, SEO, social
- Preferred: Loyalty/retention, affiliate/referral programs
- Excellent communication skills in a remote work environment?especially in meetings and async
- High standards for design and messaging quality
- Ability to manage marketing like a production pipeline?moving things from ?idea? to ?launched? quickly and effectively
- Comfort giving tough but constructive feedback when needed
Bonus Points For
- Experience in subscription-based or retention-heavy DTC brands
- Experience in the pet industry
- Familiarity with growth-focused creative testing, CRO, and A/B testing
- Experience with scaling fast and efficiently
