What is BrighterPages?

BrighterPages (brighterpages.net) is a brand new digital company specializing in website redesigns for small to mid-sized businesses based in the United States. We combine strategic thinking, modern design, and cutting-edge development to give outdated websites a fresh, high-performing new life. As a fully remote team, we prioritize creativity, flexibility, and communication.

We hope to scale BrighterPages to offer more services including, but not limited to:

Website maintenance
Logo redesign
Brand identity refreshes
Website support

Role description:

This is a 1099 Freelance/Contract remote role at BrighterPages. The Developer will be responsible for back-end web development, front-end development, programming, and web design tasks. The Developer will be working with other Developers, Designers, Copywriters, etc. to turn ideas into responsive, performant, and beautiful websites for Clients. The Developer will preferably be U.S. based and familiar with 1099 Freelance/Contract work. The Developer will preferably have history working on freelance organizations.

You should have:

Passion for your profession
Experience working on websites, or elements of websites
Self-motivation
Ownership mentality

Responsibilities:

Rebuild or rework existing websites using WordPress, Wix, GoDaddy, or any other Client-provided software
Use tools like Elementor to help with website design
Customize themes and plugins when necessary
Maintain website speed, accessibility, and SEO best practices
Collaborate with other Team Members through internal or external project dashboards and tools
Communicate effectively via Slack, email, or other methods
Meet deadlines effectively and collaboratively
Manage yourself with professionalism

Requirements:

18 years of age or older (ability to legally sign contracts and provide services)
At least 2 years of real-world website building experience, or a strong portfolio in lieu of real-world experience
Fluency in English
