Senior PHP Back-end Developer

Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior PHP Back-end Developer with strong experience in backend development to join our client´s team. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our core back-end systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and software quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust PHP-based systems tailored for the insurance sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (front-end, product, QA) to design and implement new features.
- Optimize system performance and resolve complex technical issues.
- Ensure code quality and adherence to development best practices.
- Contribute to key technical decisions and roadmap planning.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience with PHP development.
- Experience with the CakePHP framework is highly valued.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL database systems.
- JavaScript development experience with strong jQuery knowledge.
- Solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Fluency in English is mandatory for effective written and verbal communication.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a distributed team.
Conditions
- Full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day, Spanish time and holidays).
- Full remote, with flexible work schedule.
- Close collaboration with our IT team based in Georgia.
