Senior / Lead PHP (Laravel) Web Developer

*This is a part-time position, that could potentially become full-time. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule and operate on a freelance basis.*

The Lead PHP Web Developer will lead a team of web developers in the application design,

development, and testing of an in-house information technology solution. The individual will perform audits of developers' code and mentor the team on the best development practices.

Job Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for mentoring and leading a small team of developers. The application architecture includes PHP, JavaScript, My SQL, and WordPress.

? You will be working with a newly created team, so you must be prepared and assertive in setting

standards and design patterns with your new colleagues.

? Write clean, well-designed, Object-oriented PHP code following industry best practices.

? Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP services.

? Work with other developers and project managers to solve new and existing technical challenges.

? Provide administrative support, tools, and documentation for specific development projects.

? Design applications and database structures for performance and scalability.

? Deliver accurate project requirements and timeline estimates, providing regular feedback and

consistently meeting project deadlines.

? Designing and implementing web-based back-end components that are high-performing and

scalable.

? Participating and improving development processes and tools for other development teams.

Qualifications

? Minimum 10 years of system development experience and at least two years of experience as a

lead.

? Minimum seven years of hands-on experience with PHP MVC/MVP framework technologies,

JavaScript, and WordPress.

? Experience with SQL and ability to work with relational databases.

? Familiarity with source control (Subversion, git), bug tracking systems (JIRA), build and

dependency management systems (ant, Ivy, maven), continuous integration, packaging, and

deployment.

? Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? Bachelor?s degree in computer science or a similar field.

? Good problem-solving skills
