Job Title: Full Stack Developer
Location: Remote with occasional travel to various main UK cities
Contract Type: Fixed-term 2 years
Job Overview:
we are on the lookout for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join Local Government with occasional travel to key locations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in redesigning and enhancing our platform, ensuring high standards of user experience, performance, and basic security compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Redesign: Assist in the redesign of our platform, ensuring it is user-friendly, responsive, and compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for both front-end and back-end components of the platform.
- Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance, assisting in managing the AWS hosting environment.
- User Engagement: Optimize the platform for search engines, enhance user engagement, and support content managers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Team Lead and other team members to ensure timely and quality delivery of project milestones.
- Training: Support the development of training sessions and documentation to assist platform users.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years in full stack web development focusing on UX and responsive design.
- Experience with Drupal CMS, Opigno LMS, and AWS.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and other relevant technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) clearance or willingness to obtain it.
