We are seeking a Junior Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a data science mindset, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to apply these skills to solve complex data science problems at scale. The position is fully remote but candidates must be local to our office location.

Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Management: Acquire, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity and usability.
- Data Analysis: Perform exploratory data analysis to understand data characteristics, identify patterns, and detect anomalies.
- Data Transformation: Develop and implement data transformation pipelines to preprocess data for analysis and modeling.
- Problem Solving: Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify data-related issues and develop effective solutions.
- Documentation: Ability to review, create, and maintain thorough documentation of data sources, processes, and methodologies to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous data validation and testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of datasets.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data wrangling, data engineering, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, Dplyr) and data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Looker Studio, etc. is a plus.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
