Full Stack Developer (PHP/Laravel/TALL)

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join a small, dynamic team focused on creating innovative modules for our platform. This role involves supporting live clients and assisting the customer experience team with queries and bug fixes. You will be instrumental in shaping our development roadmap and mentoring team members.

This position may occasionally require attending meetings in different time zones. You will report to the Head of Development and work closely with the CEO to drive the platform forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new modules and maintain existing features of our platform.
  • Provide support for live clients and the customer experience team.
  • Contribute to the development roadmap and strategic planning.
  • Mentor and coach junior developers.
  • Occasionally attend meetings outside regular hours due to time zone differences.
  • Implement and roll out major new developments, sometimes outside of regular working hours.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Extensive experience with PHP, specifically the Laravel framework and the TALL Stack.
  • Proven track record with websites that process large volumes of data.
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL.
  • Good understanding of OpenSearch / Elasticsearch.
  • Passion for building high-performance, efficient solutions.
  • Ability to self-manage in a remote work environment.
  • Proficiency in front-end frameworks/components (Blade, VueJS, AlpineJS).
  • Knowledge of AWS products (EC2, RDS, OpenSearch, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A sense of humour and a positive attitude.
