Senior Web Developer
Fully remote (must be UK based)
Candour have partnered with a leading digital agency specialising in the e-commerce space, working with a plethora of reputable, household brands across Europe. They are embarking on a phase of growth in their dev team, where you will be a major part of a greenfield project for one of their main clients.
Essential:
? Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with a variety of WordPress projects such as brochure sites, e-commerce, LMS, and Multisites
? Proficiency in HTML, PHP, and CSS
? Strong skills in Javascript, ES6, and React
? Expertise in developing and troubleshooting custom Gutenberg blocks
? Extensive experience with WooCommerce setup, configuration, and advanced issue resolution
? At least 3 years in a agency environment, adept at managing multiple clients and projects, with a strong commercial awareness of web development agency goals
? Experience with API development and integration
Desirable:
? Skill in simplifying complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
? Expertise in transforming business requirements into detailed technical plans, including scoping, validating, and organizing technical milestones for projects
? Experience with large-scale enterprise development and deployment
? Knowledge of Progressive Web Application (PWA) development
? Competence in integrating digital marketing and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, performance metrics)
Responsibilities:
? Leading the development and execution of WordPress and WooCommerce projects
? Working closely with Client Success Managers and clients to define project scope and provide accurate task estimates
? Presenting ideas, progress, and solutions to internal teams and external stakeholders
? Mentoring and coaching team members to enhance their skills and performance
? Testing and validating proposed solutions through MVPs and prototypes
? Providing regular updates on project development in team stand-ups, client meetings, and through daily written communications such as Slack
? Collaborating with commercial, design, and development teams to ensure successful project outcomes according to Agile methodology.
