Job Overview We are in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented Web Administrator to join our client?s esteemed university and research center. This position presents an exceptional chance to elevate the quality of website content and services across several platforms within the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with CTL staff to ensure timely and consistent updates to website content, adhering to established style guidelines and branding standards.

  • Coordinate the editorial review and quality assurance process, offering constructive feedback to content creators based on a solid understanding of the editorial workflow.
  • Ensure that newly developed and revised web pages are navigable, user-friendly, and compliant with university standards and accessibility regulations.
  • Gather and maintain content from CTL and associated groups, crafting new content as necessary.
  • Crop and resize images for web applications, ensuring accessibility features such as alt text are included.
  • Optimize web content for performance, which may include reformatting text, verifying hyperlink integrity, and managing updates through the Drupal content management system (CMS) and HTML.
  • Identify and rectify content-related issues, such as broken links and formatting discrepancies.
  • Participate in Teaching Commons Web Team meetings and engage in other relevant discussions.

Required Skills - Strong oral and written communication abilities, with a knack for presenting ideas clearly and accessibly.

  • Familiarity with web publishing tools and a comprehensive understanding of web standards and usability practices.
  • Knowledge of user experience principles and information architecture.
  • Proficient in HTML and related web development technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of office applications is advantageous.

Qualifications - A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
