Responsibilities
- Understanding and addressing customer or end-user needs through software solutions. Designing and implementing software solutions based on requirements
- Following software development best practices and guidelines. Writing and executing unit tests to ensure code quality and functionality
- Debugging and resolving technical issues identified through testing or customer feedback
- Participating in code reviews to improve code quality
- Participating in deployment processes and ensuring software is deployed successfully
- Maintaining documentation to ensure it remains accurate and up to date
- Estimating timelines and effort required for development tasks. Adhering to project deadlines and milestones to deliver software solutions on time
- H elp with data labeling for AI model development when needed
- Working closely and professionally with team members, including other developers, managers, internal customers, product managers etc. Participate in regular project team meetings

- Gain proficiency in programming languages and technologies used in the company
- Learn best practices in software development, including version control (e.g., Git), testing methodologies, troubleshoot and debugging techniques
- Collaborate with team members on software development lifecycle phases, from planning and design to implementation and deployment
- Gain exposure to tools for software development and project management
- Gain insights into industry practices, trends and technologies
Individual and teamwork skills
- Work with the team to brainstorm better ways of doing the work and how to overcome the speedbumps you encounter in your tasks
- Mentorship from more experienced software developers
Healthcare industry experience
- General knowledge about US healthcare system
- Healthcare industry c oncepts such as p ublic vs p rivate h ealthcare , p ayers, types of insurance p lan s , etc.
- The change of healthcare insurance policies over time
Qualifications - Education al background or work experience in computer science or software development
- E xperience in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python or Go
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Have a good understanding of the modern web development stacks
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- G ood communication skills, both written and verbal, and be a fast learner
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, meeting and exceeding deadlines
- Understand ing of how web browser works is an asset
- Experience in web technologies like Web APIs, message queue, data scraping/crawling is an asset
- Experience in cloud services such as AWS is an asset

Compensation : $20.50/ hr
