We Independent is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals on dependent visas in the U.S. We address the challenges of isolation, lack of access to resources, and emotional overwhelm, providing a welcoming space for resource-sharing, community engagement, and cultural exchange. We believe that with the right support, dependent visa holders can find their place and positively impact society.
Role Description
This is a remote volunteer role for a Web Developer. The Web Developer will be responsible for designing and developing both the front-end and back-end of the website. Daily tasks will include programming, web design, and ensuring that the website functions smoothly and meets the needs of our community.
Qualifications
- Experience in Front-End Development and Web Design
- Technical skills in Back-End Web Development and General Web Development
- Proficient in programming languages relevant to web development
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus but not mandatory
