Trustee
Description
Application Deadline: 25 April 2025
Department: Board of Trustees
Location: Remote
Description Chance to Shine Foundation Chance to Shine Foundation is a cricket charity whose mission it is to give every young person the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and, in doing so, develop their wider wellbeing. We do this by creating opportunities to play, learn and develop. We have two core programmes ? Chance to Shine Schools (ages 5?16) and Street (ages 8-24) which support over half a million children every year.
Chance to Shine coaches inspire children and teachers in thousands of state schools and disadvantaged communities. We work with half a million children each year - nearly half of them are girls.
Street cricket sessions are fast, fun and loud. They take place in the heart of communities all across the country, anywhere from a housing estate to a sports hall - and all year round.
We're really passionate about what we do but we're ambitious and we want to do more. In 2024 we launched our new strategy, Limitless Futures, and by 2028 we aim to reach 1 million young people annually, prioritising under-served areas and maintaining our focus on high quality impact.
The Chance to Shine Board of Trustees offer a wealth of expertise, guidance and support to ensure that as a charity we strive to be the best organisation we can be and that we provide high-quality support via cricket for children and young people. It is an exciting time for new trustees to contribute towards the future of this successful charity.
Chance to Shine values and prides itself on the diversity within our programmes and we aim to reflect this diversity within our Board.
We welcome applications from interested individuals from all backgrounds.
