Position Summary The Software Developer position will be part of designing, building, deploying, and debugging products across all aspects of our core call platform products. The holder of this position will investigate needs, effectively collaborate with stakeholders to develop user-friendly resources, and be a well-rounded resource that contributes to the organization?s success.
This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Sr. Manager of Application Development
What You Will Do
- Improve scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of existing data systems.
- Design, build, test, document, and deploy new libraries, frameworks or full systems for core systems while keeping to the highest standards of testing and code quality.
- Work with experienced engineers and product owners to identify and build tools to automate many large-scale data management / analysis tasks.
- Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
- Work on a scrum team.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Participate in daily standup meetings and all meetings of the agile SDLC: planning, estimation, retrospectives, demos, etc.

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science /Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience in professional Java software development at an enterprise level.
- Demonstrated understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
- Knowledge of developing RESTful Microservices with Spring Boot.
- Experience with implementing distributed systems.
- Experience with version control systems.
- Proficiency in Linux.
- A high-level understanding of data architecture principles.
- Experience debugging and reasoning about production issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams)
- Knowledge of SIP and VOIP a plus.
- Experience with Python, Javascript, PHP, React, React Native a plus.
Physical Demands Employees may experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
- Sitting, standing, and walking (95-100%)
- Keyboarding (40-60%)
- Viewing computer monitor, tablet and cell phone screen requiring close vision (95-100%)
Work Environment 100% Remote: Work environment is at home.
Compensation $131,000 ? $142,000 /yr prospectively plus 5% bonus with consideration to experience and geographical location . Please see www.clearcaptions.com/careers for an overview of our generous benefits program.
