Senior Software Engineer

£60,000 - £75,000

Location: UK-based with monthly visits to Southampton (expenses paid). More travel initially as you get up to speed.

You?ll be engineer number two, stepping into a hands-on, hybrid role across architecture, systems design, and feature delivery.

You?ll take the reins of a modular PHP platform, shape how it scales, integrate tools across a growing data science and analytics stack, and modernise legacy foundations.

It?s not all PHP, either, you?ll collaborate across C#, Java, Python, and Power Platform to stitch together the digital backbone of a high-trust, high-impact business.

You?ll work across stacks, influence architecture, and have the ear of a respected founder.

To be considered, you?ll need:

Strong hands-on experience in Java or C# and PHP. Python comes as a bonus.
Experience building in modular architectures, with solid exposure to cloud environments (Azure preferred) and REST APIs.
Curiosity, pragmatism, and comfort jumping between greenfield builds and legacy fixes.
