We are looking to hire a talented PHP developer to work with our back-end services, some front end development, and ensure a seamless interchange of data between the server and our users. As a PHP developer, you will be responsible for developing and coding all server-side logic as well as helping move our code from a mixture of front-end/back-end combination, to a true separate PHP back-end service. You will also be required to maintain the code to interact with the system databases and respond to requests from front-end developers.

To ensure success as a PHP developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, understanding of MVC designs, and working knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. Ultimately, a top-level PHP Developer can design and build efficient PHP modules while seamlessly integrating front-end technologies. You will also need the ability to work with an extended remote team and attend daily meetings. Strong communication skills, a desire to learn difficult business rule, and self-motivation are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement software architecture for critical new products and new feature sets
  • Develop and deploy new features
  • Write "clean", well-designed code
  • Troubleshoot and optimize the core product software and database
  • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Follow industry best practices as well as company programming policies and standard
  • Work closely with engineering, QA, design, and product teams
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the engineering team

Requirements - Proven software development experience in PHP (3+ years)

  • Understanding of PHP frameworks, object oriented programming, and MVC
  • Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJA
  • Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and developing web services
  • Strongly collaborative and effective in a cross-functional environment
  • Willingness and ability to own key parts of the product, end-to-end
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to present complicated concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and nontechnical audiences
